The displays around KS4 showcase the work that our KS4 students have produced, students work very hard on their displays and take pride in the work that they present.
The media GCSE course consists of many elements, students are able to design their own magazine cover, cd covers and game covers. Students also learn about films in particular they focus on camera work, costumes and sounds.

This is a new GCSE for the PRU. It can help to motivate and enable young people to become thoughtful and active citizens. Students study democracy, government and law and develop the skills to create sustained arguments, present various viewpoints and plan practical citizenship actions.
Jamie Oliver Cooking
This is a course designed by Jamie Oliver designed to give students an introduction to the range of cooking skills they will need in later life. The students have cooked some very tasty and nutritious food this year
Dream Your School held at the Attenborough Centre at Sussex University
This was an intergenerational, multi-disciplinary event at the Attenborough Centre for the Arts at Sussex University. Key Stage 4 students were invited to participate in workshops aiming to ‘dream your future school’. We took part in cooking activities with a chef from South Africa, engaged in discussions about the use of technology and social media in teaching and learning and even made our ‘dream schools’ out of Lego!
STEM project in association with Brighton University
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) initiative. This required Year 11 students to participate in a project from start to completion. Students helped to design and construct a large wooden outdoor bench with planters. They worked with engineers in the classroom, Product Design students at Brighton University and worked with the Brighton City

Yr 11 Art students trip to Brighton Indepedent Print studios
Year 11 students designed and made lino cut templates at school. They then took their lino cuts to the Brighton Independent Printmaking studio to print their finished designs using professional grade inks and printing presses. The finished pieces of work were outstanding and form part of the Year 11 GCSE Art and Design portfolios.
